REV. ANDREW LYNCH (1903-1905)

REV. ANDREW LYNCH (1903-1905) was born in Glasgow on 8th February, 1870. He entered Blairs College in 1884, St. Sulpice four years later, and on the completion of his studies at St. Peter's College was ordained in June, 1895. He was appointed as a curate to St. Mary's, Greenock, and five years later became a member of the staff of St. Peter's College. In November, 1903, Father Lynch was appointed by Archbishop Maguire to take charge of the new mission of St. Paul's. Two years later, however, ill- health compelled him to retire for a time, and on his recovery he was sent to St. Patrick's, Anderston, where he died on 30th April, 1936, at the age of 66 and in the 41st year of his priesthood.
